Which would you choose for speed and reliability?

ADATA AGAMMIXS70B-1T-CS XPG GAMMIX S70 BLADE 1TB (€95/$95)

ADATA ALEG-960M-1TCS LEGEND 960 MAX 1TB (€105/$105)

KINGSTON SFYRS/1000G FURY RENEGADE 1TB (€115/$115)

SILICON POWER XS70 1TB (€130/$130)

I think all are DRAM and NVMe 1.4. Should I look for NVMe 2.0 instead? Also, is a heatsink required, if the motherboard does not have one?

have couple hardwear versions, all on InnoGrit IG5236 + the one you will likely to get is on 128l TLC YMTC NAND.
There where problems with both controller, and that NAND just failing even on low P/E in different SSD models, so I would not recommend.

is Silicon Motion SM2264F + 176l TLC Micron NAND.
The Nand is good, controller also is OK, but is very uncommon, very little ssd models use that controller.
The performance is solid, but it's still ADATA.

It's Phison E18 + 112l TLC Kioxia NAND (downgraded NAND from earlier hardware version with faster 176l TLC micron NAND).
It's decent, but people have more problems with the new downgraded version, then the older one.
Thermal throttling is set on quite low temperature in E18, so heatsink is recommended, for it to retain performance under heavier loads, so when you need them.

There's nothing significant for normal user in the never 2.0 NVMe spec. But to not be asked why etc, he's a brief AI summary on it:

"For a normal user, there is no significant difference between NVMe 1.4 and 2.0, as the new features in the NVMe 2.0 specification are primarily for enterprise and advanced applications, such as enterprise-level management, new command sets like Zoned Namespaces (ZNS) and Key-Value (KV), and support for new media types like traditional hard drives. The user experience, speed, and performance for everyday tasks like gaming, web browsing, and general use will not be noticeably different between a drive that is certified as NVMe 1.4 or NVMe 2.0" ~ AI

If you are using pc part picker etc, just tell me your region, and capacity you want to buy, and I will quickly look it there's something nice in good price.  Lately I have seen CS3140 in good prices in US.

And do tell us, the use case, and your CPU and motherboard model, so I can have some reference what to look for.

I am not using pc part picker and I am looking for 1TB or 2TB capacity to replace a SATA DRAM SSD on a motherboard with an M.2 slot supporting only 10Gb/s data transfer. Are there other options to consider?

I am looking to build a new system, but because of DDR5 prices will probably stick to DDR4 for now. Not in USA. What about the following?

Corsair CSSD-F1000GBMP600PNH MP600 PRO NH 1TB (€110/$110)

Western Digital WDS100T2X0E Black SN850X (€120/$120)

SILICON POWER XS70 1TB (€130/$130)
