Hi everyone!

It's been about 4 months since I built my rig, and I am very satisfied with it, except in one area, My RAM usage. I have 8gb of Corsair Vengeance pro, with an 1866 frequency. But it seems like every once and a while it totally trips out and gets over burdened at gets stuck at 97% usage because of simple programs like skype or steam. Any ideas?

edit: underutilising*

Maybe it keeps some memory reserved for the iGPU. Do you have a discrete or an integrated GPU?

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Only thing I can say is if you don't have updated drivers, but I assume you do have updated drivers. Soooo, IDK. My extensive knowledge doesn't go in to memory. :/ Try setting the programs priority to low... uhhh I can't think of much else to try.

reset windows, simplets fix available. you could scan for viruses, reinstall the faulty programs using advanced unninstallers... but all those take time and stress.
