ROG Formula VI

i was planning to save money for a ROG formula VI

 

today i found out it's $150 more then a asus Z97 sabertooth MK1

why the hell is it that much more EX then even a latest chipset...

One word: ROG. It's got "better" overclocking features and it's ROG I guess.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

even so its a $150 diffrence and the formula is a Z87 chipset compared to a Z97

i would get the sabertooth Z97 mainly because of the upgrade path to broadwell

ROG can overclocks better

Only if you're doing LN2 overclocking, but if you're not, it's mostly up to the CPU and how good it is with the silicon lottery.

I have the Formula VI, it has a water cooling block, tons of features and some high quality parts. ROG always has the newer "experimental" stuff before any main stream motherboards so its always going to be priced higher.

l see but after looking at the board specs the sabertooth almsr has everything the rogs got only no sound sonar and weaker sounds then rog other then that the tuf can oc too
