so I have an old dell optiplex as a home server, I have a game server running on it and I have it set to restart daily at 03:00 when no body should be on, but when I wake up I always have to login to the computer, open steam, and then launch the game, I’ve tracked like 3 application files to launch the command prompt for the server, but none of them show up in the server list.

so the question is how can I have my computer restart, and then have the server open and launch with zero human intervention at 03:00, aside from bugs and glitches

What is the OS?

If Windows: press windows key + r and then type "shell:startup".

This will open file explorer at a file called "startup". Add shortcuts to the things you want to run here.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

What game? Does it have something like a dedicated server component you could install?

Ideally you want something that runs as a background service and doesn't need a signed-in user or Steam

I tried doing that, I tried creating an event, the problem isn’t launching the a location it will launch but it won’t register the server with the game to connect

Pal world

it does, which is what’s downloaded,

works great, no problems, except having to wake up in the Morning and manual restart the server, I’ve watched videos, I’ve tried putting it in the start up folder, I’ve tried creating an event to force it on wake up, and the problem is that it loads but something isn’t loading to broadcast the server to my Xbox, when the computer restarts, where if I start the server off steam, no problems, loads just fine, even though steam also starts with computer,

Personally, I'd look into setting up a dedicated server using Linux as the OS. Then start it using systemctl. If a regular restart is really necessary, "RuntimeMaxSec" should do the trick.

Is it necessary? It’s runs my home assistant, it is my home NAS, and runs a plex server, I just figured it’d need to be restarted regularly

Periodic restarts is generally the exact opposite of what you want to have to do with a server 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn't do it unless there's an actual issue and there's no other fix. E.g. if you can no longer connect to the Pal World server if it's been running for a certain amount of time, my first attempt would be periodically restarting that particular service, rather than the whole machine. Only if that doesn't help would I consider doing full server restarts
