Budget (including currency): 3000 euros

Country: France, Paris

Games, programs, or workloads that it will be used for: AAA open-world games such as Cyberpunk, GTA 6 all and all games that require a lot of processing power and are generally unoptimised.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc.): I am upgrading from nothing, as I haven't had a proper PC yet. I want to play at 1440p - 4k gaming. I would like pure performance when it comes to gaming, no niceties needed, such as RGB and etc. And I also have a separate budget for the monitor, keyboard, etc., so don't worry about spending the whole 3000 euros on the PC build.

If you're willing to wait about a year, then great. Rumors says next gen GPUs come out in Q1 2027, and next gen CPUs from late 2026 or early 2027 too.

Next gen AMD CPUs will blow all existing CPUs out of the water, expect up  24cores /48 threads with ~250MB of L3 cache. The next gen AMD GPUs will also be very close the the 5090's performance at ~$1000.

14900K, RTX 5090 (360mm AiO), 64GB RAM, 4K 144Hz OLED

You are sharing a lot of RUMOR, so be careful.  I have not heard 250MB L3 cache , I have heard 128.  And 32 cores make more sense than 24.

That's not really what I meant to say. What I meant to say was that if there was a worthwhile upgrade coming in the next year that could benefit my build, then I'd be willing to wait for it.

You'll be waiting a long time as annually there is something to wait for.  You';ll be in a perpetual cycle of waiting.

I do not wait. I buy what I want when I want, and if I want to upgrade later I do.  But I would rather have a good machine NOW, than a better machine in a YEAR.

Waiting a year is silly.

3000 Euros is more than enough for a top end machine right now, that can be upgraded later.

not really looking to build it right away, I'm more than willing to wait a year or so.

Then come back in a year. Prices change weekly, a month away is already a gamble. A year from now is just not even a thing that should be considered. Not just that but a year from now we're due new hardware releases anyways, so a configured PC will be out of date by the time you buy parts for it from today.
