gpu dead??

hey its me again i feel like i post on here every two months or something 

 

anyway... i was minding my business on GOOGLE and my display went black and my gpu fans went at max speed before my entire pc reset itself. since then i have not gotten any display or even detection of the gpu in bios; i even tried seeing if it was a driver issue by uninstalling mine with ddu but it still says i have no nvidia gpu in my system. ive had this thing since march and its worked fine. is it dead?? do i have to rma it? its under warranty at least... the lights i have on my gpu are still on tho

 

im using a gigabyte eagle 4070 ti super.

Fans going 100% + black screen + no detection in bios usually points to a hardware fault, not just a driver issue. Since you already ddu’d and it still isn’t showing up at all, it’s likely the gpu itself. Before rma, try the basics: reseat the card, different pcIe slot if available, different psu cables port, and clear cmos. If it still doesn’t detect, then yeahit’s rma time. Good news is you’re under warranty, so you should be covered.

ive reseated it a few times with no luck. im going to try and try other pcle slots and also clear cmos and return here with updates

alright, sent the request to gigabyte. idk how it even died i wasnt doing anything crazy and it worked fine for a while. oh well i just hope i can get it replaced i am not spending another thousand on another one

I had this issue but I realized my 12HVPWR Cable wasnt plugged in all the way, the same on my PSU

ok i thought this wouldn't work because i could've sworn ive tried this already and. oh my god you're right. it just wasn't plugged in all the way what you've saved me
