Hi wonder if anyone has experience of using these psu's :

Corsair rm1000x and the phanteks amp gh 1000w.

Need a 1000w psu and need the number of pcies these have.

phanteks is about £129

corsair is currently £149 but usually more like £180.

I personally use the Corsair RM1000x 2024 model, the ATX 3.1.

I only use Corsair RMx lineup of PSU's as I stand by their reliability.

My PSU is also completely silent, never heard it.

thanks for the replies, both are 3.1 and are quite similar specs, at the moment the corsair is about £20 more but usually its about £50 is worth the difference?, my current pc had a corsair but it stopped working after 5 years so not sure if to try a different make.

Both are decent options, but Corsair’s rmx series generally has a longer track record for reliability and build quality oem is cwt, very solid platform. 5 years of life on your last Corsair is actually normal, and the newer rm1000x should last even longer 7–10 years is not uncommon.

Phanteks units are newer on the psu market; they’re fine, but don’t have as long a history or as many reviews for long term reliability.

For only 20 gbp difference right now, I’d lean towards the corsair. If the price gap was 50+, then Phanteks would make more sense as a value choice, but with current pricing Corsair is the safer bet.
