Hello all, bought a brand new 5080 a few months back. Having odd issues from time to time. Ran DDU and reinstalled the display drivers and this weird pop up saying Nvidia Confidential with a bunch of letters and number following it came up. No idea why or how thay happened since it hasn't been there before. Any ideas would be appreciated

The 580.88 numbers after Nvidia confidential is certainly the driver version number (released on July 31, 2025). The rest I don't know.

As for why it appeared, first time I seen that happening. Maybe a bug ?

By the way, that message looks real fake in your picture. The top of the text is perfectly horizontal compared to the edge of the monitor being at an angle 🙂

DDU again, but have this pre-downloaded before you go to safe mode.

Disconnect from your network either before (if wired) or immediately after logging back in (wifi) so Windows doesn't install a generic driver.

Install the driver package you pre-downloaded.

Googling your problem, in every instance it was the wrong driver people had installed.
