PC Locks up

When I am playing games my PC just freezes completely. No activity at all. Fans still spin and rgb is still there but the display freezes on whatever it was on.

Windows 11/ 64 bit

 

Seasonic 1000W PSU

ASRock Z790 PG Riptide

I9-14900k

MSI RTX 4080 SUPER

Corsair 360 Titan AIO Cooler

TEAM TM8FPD002T 2 TB SSD

I have updated drives and temps are good.

Does it happen if you don't play games?

If not, it might be the PSU failing at higher demands, giving not as much power to the CPU as it should, causing an ungraceful crash.

It's hard to say without swapping components, unfortunately.

It's no small job, but you could buy a new PSU, fit it, and if it does not help, take it out and return it for a refund. I'd then look to the issue maybe being the GPU.

Have you updated the mobo BIOS? Might be worth a try before anything else.
