Budget (including currency): £2500 - £3000 inc all taxes.

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Trying to get this to be a 4K gaming set up.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This will be supporting at least 3 x 27" 4k screens @ 144htz. As everyone might be aware in the UK prices are a bit everywhere. Trying to source all the parts seperately from Scan, Ebuyer etc the price seems comparable to a prebuilt.

Looking at:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9800X3D (Considering 7800X3D)
GPU: RTX 5070 Ti - RTX 5080 (should I be waiting for RTX 5080 Super?)
Styorage: 1-2TB SSD. I already have a SATA 8TB SSD which I will be adding.

I really wanted the Antec M1 Pro ITX case however figure I am possibly punishing myself on the tehrmals there.

My previous system is actually a prebuilt that I got by fluke during the GPU crisis. I was able to snag a Corsair One i300, with i9 12900K, 64GB Memory, 2tb SSD and a RTX 3080ti and in truth it has been brilliant.

Now I am not one to typically go for a prebuilt (despite the above). However, this machine is for work and play and will my daily driver. Because I am dropping between £2000 and £3000 for a RTX 5080 system I am debating about a pre built and am looking for recommendations. This caught my eye:

That motherboard supports PCIe 4.0 while the gpu supports PCIe 5.0 and no mention of the RAM latency. Otherwise it's a decent deal. Also check PC Specialist UK or if you aren't comfortable building it yourself, order the components and afterwards call around to local PC / laptop repair shops and have them build it for you for a small fee.

Hi buddy,

That looks pretty competitive.

Alternatively, have you looked at SCAN or Overclockers?

I pretty much use them exclusively and bounce between them depending on their stock levels. While I only use them for component purchases, I've found their support to be top-notch.

Also, Scan do a 6 month interest free option while OCUK do 12 months. While I mostly buy outright, I've used their 12 month finance option a few times over the years

Thanks. Yeah been looking. They seem competative. No need for the interest free I am buying outright. But I will look at overclockers again. On Scan building the same marchine came to slightly more.

I just read where you intend to game at 4K. If that's the case then you might as well have a build for 4K meaning a RTX 5090. Take a close look at the graph at the bottom of this post.
