Saw LTT’s recent video trying to fix an employee’s computer jittering issue, it didn’t resolve my issue that I’ve had for approximately 2 years now. I’ve gotten use to it but it’s time to try to get it resolved.

I will experience random jittering that would last approximately a full second or two. It will happen at completely random times, during idling, browsing, photo editing, gaming. However this is not a daily issue, it is something that will occur maybe every once in a blue moon, just the once, once it happens then another once in a blue moon.

I’ve followed the guidance in the video short of reseating the components. The reason I haven’t yet is because I’ve swapped out both my CPU, RAM, SSD and reseated my GPU (for cleaning) over the years with no change.

thanks

When was the last time you wiped out the OS install and updated the BIOS? Assuming you already purged all unnecessary installed applications and cleaned up your startup apps.

Cannot remember the last time I updated my BIOS, so I'll go do that now. As for unnecessary apps and startup apps those have already been removed.

  • 2 weeks later...

@GuiltySpark_ so far as of writing this post, I've updated the BIOS and not had anymore gittering like before. I'm still gonna give it a couple more weeks before considering it "resolved".
