The GPU I am currently using is a Gigabyte 280X, which is working well, altough I have noticed that my card does not perform as well as benchmarks says it will. I am running two monitors, and I am wondering if this affects my performance?

Because of the decrease in performance, I am wondering if it would be possible to run my second monitor from the old HD7770 I have?

I can't seem to figure out what speeds the PCI ports on my motherboard runs at in different configurations ( It's an Asrock B75 Pro-3), and I wonder if my main card would run slower if I had another card plugged in in a different port?

1. No, but most benchmarks like BF4 benchmarks aren't in multiplayer which has a large performance difference.

2. refer to one, since it won't decrease unless your playing on them simultaneously.

3. what you asked about the GPU is possible, but a waste

Running multiple monitors off one GPU will only affect a game being played on one of the displays if something that is graphically intensive is running on the other monitor that is connected to the GPU. Unless you have a very low end GPU then you can run movies and other applications on the second monitor without having to worry about lost performance. That being said running a second card in the lower slot will not affect the performance of the top card as the 280x isn't capable of coming anywhere close to maxing out even half of the bandwidth of an x16 slot. You can run the 7770 without issue and even though it isn't necessary you can do so as long as your PSU meets the power requirements.
