up to a year or two in shelves tho? also thank u dude for being respectful for real ❤️

Sure!  If manufactured correctly it will not be an issue.

The main cause of AIO failure is a dying pump, and this is from wear from being used 🙂

If an AIO sat for 2 years and then sold to a customer, the warranty on that AIO would still start when the customer bought it.

@Dedayog I don't see anything is funny nor my question is funny at all.. Apparently I am worried and trynna get answers to my question. So if u think u are too smart and too good for that, u can easily skip my post and go check others.

Hey, you're the one putting lol at the end of your questions, so obviously you think they're funny

I JUST told you it won't get rotten and then you ask AGAIN.   Are you needing that much reinforcement?  Why can't you believe what everyone has said, that your components are just fine?

Because for some reason what was worrying me was the AIO being stored cuz some random dude told me the liquid could get rotten if it got stored for too long so I was really worried, but I am good know cuz I been just told that the AIo could be stored for a year ot two and still would be fine and work without any issues

Well, my car example was 12-15 years.. And remember that the fluid used in cars are not sealed properly.

The product itself was in a container once and THAT would also last for many years unopened 🙂

As mentioned, if the AIO has been manufacturered properly its not an issue at all.

The MSI AIO was just to show what could happen if it wasn't.  MSI recalled and replaced all the affected AIO's, but it took them a very long time to do so.

Ohhh now I understand. So it depends on how it has manufacturered so basically if its manufacturered properly it could last years and years sealed nd unopened on shelves and still would work without any issues at all.. Now I get the picture right?

Nothing will break.. but buying parts piecemeal over time is bad practice:

- you lock money in and commit to a platform months before you have a PC. What if you buy an Intel MB, but then 2 months in, AMD releases a much better product? You are stuck with Intel (or vice versa)

- Electronics tens to get cheaper over time or better products get released

- Your warranty starts running out

- You can't test the components and will miss the sellers return window. Manufacturer RMA usually is much harder to deal with

- any shipping damage is on you. You can't claim 3 months later an item arrived DOA.

Best to save money and buy it all at once (or at really good deals) and build the PC shortly after receiving parts to test and enjoy it.

Parts leave from factory sealed and tested to be working. They will be fine in that state for long periods. But as @Dedayog and @Lurking noted, its not best practice to buy and keep as end-user unless the whole point is collecting sealed boxes. For example, you have already lost your free return option (from 7 days to 4 weeks depending on store and region). Which means if you bought something that doesn't fit your build, you are stuck with it (unless you sell it). You are already 3 months in your warranty which in worst case is 6 months (but usually 1 year minimum to 10 year manufacturers warranty). Any of your products might be DOA. But you don't know it before trying. Which is why its better to try parts you are actually planning to use as soon as you can.

You have most of what it takes for working PC. Since you have CPU, mobo, RAM, storage and PSU. You could already built it, like many youtubers recommend, on top of mobo box to test parts to be working. You could get temporary case for free or at small price (any modern ATX will be fine). You could probably even use the PC if you have CPU with iGPU. I used my PC for about year like that when my GPU died in the middle of scalper/mining crisis. You could even get cheap used GPU which is most likely fine if you lower resolution and graphical settings for games etc. Its about $50 to get GPU I'm running used here. Vs getting new GPU for $600. And this one can still run pretty much anything at 1080p medium.

You seem to be most worried over AIO. Its closed loop and even in use would take several years to have issues with liquid (the only thing that can go bad during storage).
