Hello, right now I wanna upgrade my gpu for 1080p high fps and I’m in between the rtx 5070 12gb and the rx 9070xt, because in my country (Greece) the difference between the 9070 and 9070xt is 60 euros so i don’t think it’s worth. Give me your opinion because I don’t know if it’s worth it to spend 150 more euros to buy the 9070xt. The other system is pretty good so I don’t have an issue with that

Translation for others: bro take the 9070 xt 100%, more Vram and about 25% faster/stronger for about 25% more in price

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy

i would consider the 7900xt or better xtx just by the fact that the 90 series price is awfully high and it's probably not the price the cards are actually worth, reselling a 7900xtx will probably keep the value higher then reselling a 9070 or 9070xt.

i will NEVER buy the "latest and greatest" GPU these days, you will spend a butlload of cash for something that's overpriced, buying 1 generation earlier but the best of the best of that generation will probably keep the value up and have the same performances of the high end latest GPUs.

i've considered myself to buy a 90 series GPU but in the end i found an rx 7800 xt for 510€ and performs AMAZING at 1440p 120/180fps in many games and costs almost 250/300€ less (italian prices) then the 9070 xt

Get the 9070xt. More perf, more vram for if you want to go to 1440p at some point. And so you can keep it longer.

No, the 7000 series isnt going to keep the value better than the 9000 series. Mainly because the 9000 series will get new software support the 7000 series likely wont get. Unless you use alternate means that arent officially supported and likely broken.

Yes 9070xt should have been cheaper but the perf and software you get are not bad at all. 0 reason to spend almost as much as a 9070 for a 7900xt to get less software support almost equal perf. Yes the 7900xtx can perf better as well as the 9070xt but it is more expensive, and doesnt get new software support. And you dont need that vram at 1080p or 1440p.

Keep in mind that this perf increase for the 7900xtx or 7900xt only is there if your talking non raytracing. Something that will become mandatory in many games that are upcoming.

In Greece I can find an rx 7800xt with 470 euros starting price. But I think you should buy a good version and the price is equal with 5070 and 9070

There is no "good version"

The best version if the cheapest one

Ισχύει bro! It’s a tough choice what to pick.

The 5070 is more than fine for 1080p as @Why_Me said

But the extra money and feautures for me on top of the fact that the performance increase and price increase match almost exactly makes it worth it for me

Δηλ αν πληρωσεις παραπανω παιρνεις αντιστοιχα καλουδια και αποδοση
Translation: tl dr you pay more and you get more goodies and performance that is of equivalant cost
