I'm planning to upgrade to a 5090 with 9800x3d and 32 gb ram with x870 motherboard, from i5 10600k, 16gb, z490 and rtx 3080. The question is about my h100i AIO and my hx1000i power supply. First I thought I would transfer the cooler with different mounting but I heard AIO's give out after 6-7 years and mine is 5 years old already, so I don't know if I should get an air cooler like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit. And the second one can the hx1000i handle the 5090 and this system, cause in the website it seems so, but want to be sure, to not have an expensive mistake.

Thanks for the help.

A Thermalright Phantom Spirit will easily cool a 9800X3D.

I personally use a AK620, a similar dual tower air cooler and it keeps my overclocked 9800X3D cool even with a low constant fan speed of 30%.

Considering the low power draw of a 9800X3D, I will say that a HX1000i can handle a 5090 🙂   Maybe get the adapter cable from Corsair.

I was personally going to run my own 9800X3D + 5090 setup from my Corsair RM1000x.
