Do ARGB splitters work?

Hello! I want to add more rgb fans to my pc, but my motherboard doesn't have any free argb headers, so I thought about getting a splitter to plug them in, but will they damage my motherboard, also will I be able to control the fans with software (Signal RGB).
Since the fans I want to get, are the same as my AIO, I do wonder if it's possible to daisy-chain the rgb to the AIO, but I don't think the cable will reach, because my AIO is mounted to the top of the case and the fans should be at the bottom.

Case fans, 4x Phanteks XT Pro Ultra fans.

Yeah they work fine, won't damage anything unless you daisychain 3 of them 

Another option for cleaner management is an argb fan hub
