Hey guys !

I recently built a PC with some old and some new parts. It worked fine for a few weeks, until it crashed at some point overnight and now I can no longer turn it on.

Basically when I try to boot - the GPU flashes, the mobo error light flickers and doesn't stay solid like it normally would. ( See video attached) I can also hear the fans speed up and slow down and speed up again indefinitely. This seems like a PSU issue to me, but the power supply hasn't shown any signs of failure in the past

Parts list

PSU:Corsair  cx550m (2017)

Mobo: ROG B450F (2020)

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600XT  (2020)

GPU: GTX 1060 6gb (2017)

RAM: Corsair vengeance 8gb, ddr4, single stick for trouble shooting.

Storage: m.2 WD SSD

I'd disassemble everything (except cpu and cooler) and reassemble the bare minimum carefully outside the case on cardboard (for example).

(I'd also carefully reconnect the cables on psu side)

Will be my next steps, annoying because it worked for about 2 weeks with no issues
