Windows 8 Solid Color Crash

Hey guys, first post here. I'm having difficulties with my laptop.

 

It's a Dell XPS L502X

The Specs are:

 

i5 2450M @ 2.5GHz

6GB DDR3 RAM

Nvidia GT525M

Windows 8 64 bit Professional

 

My laptop crashes to a random solid color. There's no mouse pointer, no response at all. I have to hold the power button until it shuts off.

 

When I'm browsing the interwebs, it's fine.

 

It's a completely different story when I'm gaming (Gmod and other non-demanding games of the sort), it crashes after a certain amount of time. These crashes are competely sporadic. I could play for 3-5 minutes and it could crash. Sometimes I could play for 2 hours and it would then crash.
