I’m currently having an issue where CMD is showing up on my screen for about half a second before disappearing again, and it’s happening about every 10 seconds. The window is titled “C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe” and there is nothing in the window, so I’m assuming it isn’t a virus

I’m currently reinstalling windows through the “repair problems using windows update” option. UPDATE: This did not help

May also be worth noting that this has started after updating the intel chipset driver through ASUS driver hub and everything else through armoury crates update centre

Extracted from an old thread:

1. Run a good anti-virus program

2. Then go to: your computer->local C->windows->system 32->tasks- >and delete any weird looking apps (like rocket or genius box)

Did run an antivirus, nothing

went back into armoury crate and updated something else, it has since stopped. I’ll have another look when I’m able to be on my pc tonight

CMD Windows popping up and out is usually caused by a script trying to execute. It may be a virus but is often an installer that aborted in a wrong way and is trying to execute again.

In your case, it seemed that it was an Armoury Crate script and that got fixed when it ran again to update something else.

Have a nice day !
