Linux on Laptops

Hey Forum, I have an Acer Nitro V15 with an intel 13420H and an RTX 2050 and i was planning on installing Linux on it but I cant find any drivers for my CPU or GPU so i was wondering where i could find drivers in my specific case (Linus Distro is Ubuntu)

It's Ubuntu you can boot form a USB and see how things work before installing. Intel and nvidia won't be a problem though. For a very long time I've bought only nvidia cards to use with Linux, as I know I can just download drivers and they will just work.

IIRC, ubuntu has nvidia drivers that you can just install with a click through the GUI. Your LAN / WIFI / BT, things like that should be your bigger concern, however those are likely to just work as well.

I've started from Ubuntu and leveled up to arch. Ubuntu is a good start also mint is good start too.

Ubuntu will automatically keep your Intel CPU up to date whenever there is a software update or when you manually update it using the sudo apt upgrade command.

Ubuntu comes with basic graphic drivers when you install the distro, so you need to install NVIDIA's proprietary drivers. To do that you'll use the Software and Updates program, go to Additional Drivers, look for the most current version and hit apply changes. Type your password in and it should install for you, and usually the highest version number is the current driver. You could also install GPU drivers in the terminal if you wanted to.
