I am planning on building a PC. My budget is $1500 - $1600. My aim is to play the latest games at 1080p right now. I plan on overclocking. I do need to connect to WiFi also as the router is too far away where the PC will be.

I know the new Intel processors are coming out and I am planning to buy one of them.

I have windows 8, a monitor and a mouse. All I need is a keyboard.

I look forward to hearing your suggestions!

This look so similar to one I just did for someone else right before reading this topic xD So if you want to goes with a very small case like him then:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($228.98 @ OutletPC)

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($89.99 @ NCIX US)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97N-Gaming 5 Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard ($138.98 @ SuperBiiz)

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($87.32 @ NCIX US)

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($82.99 @ Best Buy)

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($67.14 @ Amazon)

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 780 3GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($469.99 @ Micro Center)

Case: BitFenix Prodigy (Black) Mini ITX Tower Case ($69.99 @ NCIX US)

Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($37.99 @ Newegg)

Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($130.05 @ NCIX US)

Total: $1403.42

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

(Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-06-03 12:23 EDT-0400)

But I personally dont really like small case + small Mobo like that, so I'd suggest this instead:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($228.98 @ OutletPC)

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($87.32 @ NCIX US)

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($82.99 @ Best Buy)

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($67.14 @ Amazon)

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 780 3GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($469.99 @ Micro Center)

Case: Corsair 450D ATX Mid Tower Case ($117.59 @ Amazon)

And same notice as the other guy: PCPartPicker right now dont have the new i5 4690k but it's already out, so goes with the i5 4690k instead of this 4670k. The mobo I choose on both of these build can support both of those CPU

What's the difference between the MSI gaming g45 and the MSI gaming 5 motherboards?

Not so much different. The design look a bit different as well as thr Gaming5 support the next sata connection thats not popular yet while the g45 does not, but as long as that connection isnt widely available I dont see any reason to worry about that. But the g45 and gaming 5 dont support intergrate wifi so you need to buy a different wifi card

So I took you some parts from your builds and built my own.

I went went a NZXT H440 because I love the look of it. Also I went with the gaming 5 for future upgrades for the new SATA connection.

What do you think?

That look good. But you may want the 2014 version of the Blackwidow if you want the green backlight. The 2013 have blue light if I remember it correctly. Also full modular PSU dont make sense, semi is all you needed and will be much cheaper. And I dont really like WD Blue, for me its either WD Black or Sragate Barracuda

OK. What PSU would you reccomend? I don't like seeing color wires at the connection (kinda OCD about this).

What's the difference between WD Blue and Black?

Corsair PSU should have only black wires that suit anything. Choose a semi modular for easy cable management. Like the Corsair CX 600w semi modular PSU.

The diff between those 2... I dont really remember now, it somehow skip mt mind... , try google for it
