Which is better?

Go to solution Solved by GuiltySpark_,

The cheaper one.

5080 Astral is a sick joke.

I am upgrading from a 3090ti card to a 5080 card. I see that some are available and am just curious which is best? My main use case are games like Escape from Tarkov and lots of 3D modeling and rendering. I game at 1440p if that helps as well.

These are a few options I found:

MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 PCI Express 5.0 Graphics Card RTX 5080 16G GAMING TRIO OC WHITE

MSI INSPIRE GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 PCI Express 5.0 Graphics Card RTX 5080 16G INSPIRE 3X OC

ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition ROG-ASTRAL-RTX5080-O16G-GAMING PCI-Express 5.0 DLSS 4.0 Graphics Card

the first two are around the 1,500 to 1,600 mark with the last just under 1,800.

Ya I didn't see much a different between them as well. Was going to get something like a 4090 super but can't find any that are not way overpriced. All i am finding are same price as a 5080 so figured go with that.

Well, that's not too surprising since it didn't exist. 😁

Probably the most useless feature

Especially with the numerous other issues the 50 series top end cards had

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy

it's still a pretty cool bit of innovation.

When the card stills suffer from issues like melting connectors and or causing fires?
No, not really its just blowing smoke up our rears

I'd much rather they fix the fire hazard rather than what a piece of wood/plastic can remedy and you can diagnose with a ruler and your eyes

Yes, but also no. It cant do anything about it, it does not even necessarily have a way to notify the user if something is going wrong.

All it does is give you a front row seat to your PC and or house burning down IF you monitor it 24/7

It doesnt notify you or stop it in any way shape or form

Not really.  Numerous things have built in gyros, including late 80's Cadillacs.  Tech has been around for many decades.  It's useless and stupid, as are the prices for the OP's 5080 choices.

Hope his pricing is CAD.
