Hello,
I need help choosing a new GPU.
I want to know what would be the MAXIMUM rtx xxxx gpu you think my rig could handle?
I've always been a bit of a budget pc gamer but now i want to put in a new gpu that could handle pc games for years to come.
i added a picture of my current pc's specs
Thanks and salutations to anyone offering their opinion on this.

wait till the 9060xt and 5060 and make a decision then, even if your only thinking of getting nvidia it simply isnt smart right now as technically the only new "budget" nvidia cards (5060ti) arent that great for both perf and budget reasons. at 399 euros for a 5060ti 8gb is simply not good.

also we would need to know your actual budget and for example also your power supply. and which country you will be buying in.

o right yeah my budget is around €600 and my psu i'd have to check but it's an old ocz from back in '11. from my 2gb gpu days lol.

you should figure that out first,
600 is more middle ground than budget unless you mean thats the budget for a full upgrade that could include a new psu.

generally if your budget is 600 euros, you could search for many gpus, if you want the newest and best available for your budget get a 5070 as they are 599 euros if you live in germany as well.
else a 5060ti 16gb(make sure its the 16gb!!) for around 480 euros. if you want to team green, for amd there isnt really a new card for that price. so you can also get a 7800xt which are of last gen.
else wait for prices to drop further and get a 9070.
or if you want to save money wait for the 9060xt and 5060 and see how they are.

generally perf wise
5060 will likely be 20% slower
9060xt will likely be 5-10%~ slower
5060ti 100%
7800xt 18% faster
5070 35% faster

9070 45% faster
