I have one that has been getting to me for some time. Nether my Nintendo Switch, 3DS or PS3 can connect to the internet over WiFi, reporting an DNS problem. My router (Asus RT-AX82u) does not have any DNS overrides set, Nor does any other devices have issues connecting. All other phones, tablets and computers (Win, Mac & Linux) connect just fine on both 2.4 and 5Ghz. It's not an ISP thing because the consoles connect fine at my sister's place with the same ISP. They also connect to my phones hotspot fine as well. One thing of note the PS3 can connect wired, But that is not practical as only one cable is available there and it's to a media server that needs to stay plugged in. Also it doesn't help my Switch or of much lesser importance now 3DS
I don't have any newer consoles to test with either.

Tell us the exact message you're getting from your consoles.

The PS3 is reporting an 80710102 DNS error. My Switch is charging due to being stone dead atm.

However a recent post else where suggests the firmware for this router might have a bug at the heart of the issue. There is a update but I need to let some things finish before I can apply it.

Do you have any kind of port filtering set up on your firewall or manually configured DNS on the problem devices?

A quick Google search found that others have fixed this problem by setting up the wireless connection on the console again and using all of the defaults except that they manually entered a known DNS server, e.g. Google's are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

I know I tried that 1st. However it seems to be Fixed. It seems to have been a ongoing issue with Asus's earlier WiFi6 (802.11ax) routers over the last couple of Firmware versions that has recently been resolved. In fact the whole DNS part of the web interface has changed. Which explains why I still had the issue even after updating only a month or so ago.
