Hey all,

im running a Ryzen 5 5600x and rx 580 system and have been running into a couple related issues:

1. Sometimes my screens display the same thing

2. My screen often blacks out (this can occur before or after posting, no pattern as far as I can tell)

both of these issues have seemingly nothing to do with workload or what applications I have open

what I’ve tried so far:

- reinstalling windows

- using a different gpu

- reinstalling my cpu (no bent pins or obvious points of failure)

- testing my psu with a multimeter

- running memtest86 and reseating ram

- installing various drivers for multiple components

- testing cpu temps

ive come down to the problem being the motherboard. If anyone can confirm, deny, or suggest any more testing I can do, I would greatly appreciate it as it’s been driving me crazy for weeks.

check event viewer and see what error codes it gives after a black screen.
