Why a pi5? It's kinda overkill in the first place...

Aye fair question Its what I had to hand at the time 🙂

 

I do have a 3 tried on that but the results seemed questionable maybe some tweaking could be done within that but was getting about 1 fps (Not like i need a solid 60 but solid motion would be nice)

I mean an actual networked security camera costs less than a Pi, so...

 

You also never mentioned whether you wanted that Pi to be the camera or a server that gathers multiple? First was assumed...

I've swapped back to the Pi3 now

 

Idea would be to have few sources and now kinda wanna explore Idea of network webcams that feed back to this single pi

 

(This is all just fuck around sort of stuff with bits and bobs I already happen to have reason for going with Pi at all) now kinda wanna look into network cameras
