Budget (including currency): depends

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: a bunch of different games, streaming, editing, cyber security school,

so I attached my full part list, I’ve been having problems with the computer here and there for the last few years for instance if I turn on a YouTube video while gaming the video lags out and I’ve have random crashes that eventually fix itself with seemingly no apparent fix, also randomly had an M.2 SSD just shit the bed and loose all data but still seems to work along with always having problems with my case usb ports, plus some other issues,

I for some reason think it’s ether the CPU or motherboard causing problems,

do I save some money and replace the motherboard and CPU with same product hoping it fixes the issues or

get a slightly newer generation or

go all out and spend two grand getting the newest AMD platform

PS. If I do fix this PC and get it workin properly, I could in the future use it as a streaming PC

You have a severe CPU bottleneck with that 4090. A new platform is needed.

Ryzen 7700X, 9700X, 7800X3D, 9800X3D

B650, X670, X670X, B850, X870 board

2x 16GB DDR5 6000 CL30

As for the current issues...

SSD firmware updated?

Bios updated?

Multiplane Overlay MPO disabled?

CMOS battery voltage fine?

Quite frankly you could just get a ryzen 7700x a B650 board and new ram (all in all should be about 500 USD) and call it a day the 9900k is very limiting on your GPU as well

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy
