Just get an r9 290x instead.

Outperforms it in every game. The PCS+ version will also keep it nice and cool and quiet: https://geizhals.at/powercolor-radeon-r9-290x-pcs-axr9-290x-4gbd5-ppdh-a1053920.html.

I have a 290X lightning (I know it's more expensive, I'm not saying you should get the Lightning specifically) and I can speak for it's awesome, 780 beating performance. I'd recommend either the PCS+ 290X, the Sapphire Tri-X, or the 290X Lightning. I've been able to keep it at 60-65 degrees at stock, and about 70-75 degrees with a 1215MHz core clock and 1550MHz memory clock. ;)

they are both very good, personally its the difference between aesthetics. they both perform very similarly and the only real difference would be depending on how lucky you are with the silicone lottery

If you absolutely need a 780: If you can get a hold of the unnerfed LN2 bios for the 780 Lightning, I'd go for the Lightning. It'll over-clock much better than the Asus. It's pretty much built for LN2.

True but you could only really unlock the full power of using LN2 if you are going to be water cooling. With air cooling it will be limited a fair amount by thermals
