Possibly Bad PSU

Im only wondering cause for some reason games are crashing on my drive when i only put my gaming one on my bottom m.2 slot. When it crashes the device basically shuts itself off and i cant access any games unless i restart the pc. When i moved it to the top slot it was fine, albeit i had to put my system drive on the bottom slot. Does the chipset slot cause errors with this. Is it a mobo problem problem or psu problem. Basically what I'm asking.
