Wow did they entirely remove the Tech Bro Vest from the store?

Google link leads to 404 Page
https://www.lttstore.com/products/tech-bro-vest?srsltid=AfmBOophtigHmNmumuWzPV_XMrmkdQazSyRuCGY4MKXKy2bYpxCwUHM-

IMO it feels really sketchy to completely scrub a product page.

It's nice to have for reference pictures and products descriptions and specifications. Removing it benefits what exactly??

I'm totally aware this is standard behavior for basically all stores. I'm just saying.. what's the point when you don't even sell hundreds/thousands of SKUs ? Does it cost a substantial amount of money to keep the Sold Out page available?

if they have no plans of restocking a product, why keep the page up?

the point is that you rather quickly have more EOL pages than active merch.

If they already put in all of the effort to create the webpage, why go the extra step to remove it?

But does the presence of EOL pages even matter? Just hide it from populating when looking at the available products, or just move them to an archived page, or just hide them entirely and only make them viewable via direct links (i.e. Google) or searching the exact SKU/model number.

There are so many alternatives to completely scrubbing the page.

And I did put my reason:

It's nice to have for reference pictures and products descriptions and specifications.

Especially when it comes to reselling clothing online (Poshmark, Depop, Grailed, etc.). It's a massive pain when the original page doesn't exist anymore and you're stuck with writing a generic description like "LTT Store jacket. 3D down. Feels nice."

edit:

and from personal experience, I was in a Reddit thread talking about "when are they going to release the cargo pants? They already released the cargo shorts" and I couldn't find the existence of the cargo shorts anywhere, so I assumed they were just remembering wrong, but they told me it was released before.

yes. it does, from an IT perspective having hundreds of dead pages is a nightmare.

LTTStore runs on Shopify; delisting a product only takes a couple clicks. It's not like they're hand-crafting every individual page.

Fun idea: LTTStore creates "The Graveyard", which shows all discontinued/limited time products.

It could also have an upvote system for people who really want a product back.

a lot of the EOL items are also just because they ran into supplier issues though. great idea on paper, difficult to manage in practisce.
