I've been wanting to build a high-end PC for a while, and by this year at around June-July I probably should be able to. However, my main concern right now is that of the GPU. I was initially wanting an RTX 4080/Super, but I hear the GPU market right now is pretty bad, with not much left in stock and what is in stock is ridiculously priced. Would like some advice on what to do regarding GPUs. Some options I've considered:

  1. Wait and see
  2. Go with an AMD card like a 7900XTX or 9070XT whenever that releases
  3. Try and get a card while I still can
  4. Try finding one in a marketplace

If there are other options available, I'd be happy to hear suggestions.

Aside from the GPU, I would like some feedback on the preliminary parts list I have linked above, as I'm pretty new to PC building, so I'm not fully sure on what I am doing. I am especially wondering about what monitor to choose, I would prefer a 27" 1440p IPS panel with at least 144Hz refresh rate, but am not sure what's a good pick for that. I only need the single monitor, as I have a spare secondary monitor already. No need for a keyboard, mouse or headset as I have them already.

I would recommend this monitor but apparently it isn't available in Canada .. which is weird because this monitor is a big hit in the US, UK and Germany. Maybe you can make a run across the border eh.

ATX 3.1 psu, board with more PCIe lanes for those dual M.2 SSD's, same RAM but different heatsinks for cheaper and a case that's 5x's better imo than that Fractal Pop Air. Replace the 140mm exhaust fan that's included with this case with the 140mm ARGB fan down below.
