First time building a PC; as soon as I turned on the computer, the water went from clear to cloudy which I suspect isn't normal. I have posted an image and video on reddit (sorry for using a link, I didn't want to re-upload) : https://www.reddit.com/r/watercooling/comments/1iuwsoo/cloudy_coolant/

Does anyone know what caused this and what I should do about it?

if there's questions, always re-flush and refill.

I assume I should take apart the reservoir and clean the gunk from there too, right?

Also how can I make sure it doesn't happen again, I still don't know where the slimey looking stuff came from. the CPU block and QDC fittings were the only new things I added after the initial flush but they shouldn't have gunk in them, should they?

Edit: should I also take apart the CPU block to clean it?

the places most likely to develop gunk are CPU Block fins and GPU Block fins.

Fittings will rarely develop gunk.

You say you added fittings, are you sure the metals are compatible?  You saw what happened to linus.

the block is nickel-plated copper, rads are copper and brass and fittings are brass as well, so I doubt it's a compatability issue and even if it was, they don't react in 30 seconds right after you turn it on.
