Hi Everyone,

I'll go ahead and preface that the easy answer would probably be buy a quality KVM from Level1techs, but those aren't cheap, so I'm investigating any alternatives before I go down that road.

My predicament is not new, I've got a gaming PC with a two monitor setup (possibly 3 one day) and a work laptop. I'm constantly having to switch my keyboard and mouse back in forth between machines. Even more annoying is my mouse toggle to switch between machines is under the mouse (Razer Basilisk). Has anyone found any good options for minimizing the hassle of switching peripherals back and forth?

1. Keyboard = A multi-device compatible keyboard via bluetooth from Keychron. Currently this keyboard doesn't include a numpad, so probably going to be switching this soon.

2. Mouse = Razer Basilisk - Multi-device compatible

Again I feel like my answer is simply buy a Level1techs KVM, but is there anything else out there? I heard some of these monitors are coming equipped with built in KVMs now? Are those realistic and decent for gaming?

Not sure about KVMs on monitors if they work well enough, as for peripherals, some may have different connection types of you don't require speed. Some offer additional 2.4GHz dongle and you can switch between devices with button shortcut macro on a mouse for example, that mouse having two dongles that is. I know Vaxee wireless mice offer that feature you can get additional dongle from them for that.
