Note: I originally posted this under the Graphics Cards forums, but it looks like this is more suited for here! Sorry for cossposting

Here's some backstory. So I had an RX 7900 GRE, was working great, had one VM and was able to successfully utilize https://github.com/jamesstringerparsec/Easy-GPU-PV to partition the GPU for the VM to use. I decided that I wanted more horsepower so I upgraded to a Ryzen 9 9950x, had to upgrade my mobo, and my ram. After installing everything back up, the GPU wasn't turning on, tried almost everything with no success. I have an extra GPU (RX 570), so I chucked that into the PC and it works! I took my PC to Microcenter, had them check the parts, and they came to the conclusion that the GPU was faulty. Great, so now I am dealing with XFX warranty claims, wish me luck! However for the meantime, I need to keep chugging along with work, so I put the RX 570 back into the PC and got my VM set up again. Everything looks good in the VM as far as showing that the RX 570 is there under Device Manager for Display Adapters, but when I get into Parsec, it says that its using software encoding, and then everything starts to look pixilated. I do have an RX 5700 XT on my wife's PC, and I'm considering swapping it out and trying to see if that works, but before I do any other swaps, I want to see if I'll be getting the same results, or if I can, how to fix this issue with the current GPU I have.

TLDR: RX 7900 GRE go kaput, using RX 570, VM is using it via Easy GPU-PV, Parsec says no bueno (using software encoding) so everything is pixilated, wife has RX 5700 XT. Is the GPU the issue and can I use the RX 5700 XT? Or is there a fix that I can try using my current GPU?

AMD got good driver support for the RX570 as far as I know, so it probably isn't a driver issue.

Did you run DDU before installing the driver for the RX570 ? It can't hurt to try.

Also, did you reinstall Windows since you upgraded ? It is recommended to do so after upgrading such major components.

Hope that helps.
