Did you open the 212 Evo yet?  If not, you should see if you can return it.  There are much better coolers at a very similar price.

I'd look to see if any Canuckistanian shops are running AM5 bundle deals.  A 7600X or 7700X bundle can be very reasonable right now.  (Sub-400 USD for us south of the border) so, you could easily get that in the ~600$ range.  (Alternatively you could look at a DDR4 13th gen board & CPU, and reuse your 32GB DDR4, but that's not great as DDR5 is now a fair bit faster than 4 in actual usage.)

Do you have a SSD?  You need a SSD.

Your PSU is probably still totally fine.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply! I'm mainly looking at Amazon for a vendor for some stuff at least as I have some gift cards still for amazon. But the 212 evo is actually older that I've had for a bit but does have the am5 hardware. What cooler would you suggest I could add a bit of budget for one.

I think I'd like to go ryzen this time but would be open to Intel still and go ddr5.

I'd be reusing my ssd I have a 970 pro and a NAS for other storage.

I also will be reusing my case which is a Fractal Design define r6

That bundle saves you $150 that can be used elsewhere like a cooler

Or if you are doing strictly gaming this might be worth looking at
