Display issue

I built my pc only a few weeks ago it my first build but i built it and it was working fine for a few weeks but a couple days ago I turned it on and the whole display was distorted the colours were fine but It just had loads of stripes on it. I restarted it and the main issue was fixed except the bottom of the screen was still jittering I went onto Gigabyte control center were I originally got the drivers except I got the graphics drivers from the AMD website and It had some thing to install so I installed them and it fix the problem but I just turned my computer on today and the same thing happened I did all the same things and all the same things happened except there was nothing to install on Gigabyte control center. I have the Dell G2725D monitor and plugged it into my motherboard with a DP cable to test if it was the monitor but it booted fine I swapped it back to the GPU and it fixed itself and is working for now what could it be and what should I do

Hi,

You should test all that on a different display, like a TV for exemple. 
If it does happen too, switch cables completly. 
If it still happens, that's where there's probably a hardware defect.
