So I have a 3060 ti and I was going to wait and get a 5080 but after all the recent reviews should I just spring for a 4080 or 4090 or is a 5080 still such a big jump from what I have that it would still be worth it?

This is quite a strange question.

The performance of the cards are out there. The performance is what it is.

Only you can decide if its worth it.

What is the rest of your system?

I have a RTX 4080 and I find it pretty good for 1440p high refreshrate gaming.

Used 4080 prices should be pretty good going forwards now with the launch of a 5080 and 5090.

So I actually have a very high end system it’s just that at the time I pulled the 3060ti from my computer I had and just used it temporarily because then I deployed for the military and got back recently and am looking to finally get a new graphic's card I just didn’t want to waste money that I didn’t need to spend

I would say that a 4080 is a pretty decent GPU and you can probably find some for a good price in mid february when people have gotten their hands on a 5080 or 5090.

If you are willing to buy new then a 5080 is of course a good option.

Only you can decide if the price to performance is worth it.

Plenty of solid reviews on the 5080 on Youtube.

As a hardware enthusiast and a tech nerd, I'd like to know your system specs if you dont mind.

Its fine if you don't watch to share it of course.

Here is a 17 game average by Hardware Unboxed at 1440p.

the 5080 is quite pathetic but I guess the price didn't really go up.

If you can afford a 4090, why are you even considering the 4080/5080?
