I have a 7800X3d, I was wanting to go from mini ITX to Micro ATX because I went from a nr200 to a Okinos Aqua 5 and I was wondering if the GIGABYTE B650M AORUS Elite AX (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BH6XND27/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) would be a decent choice

The GIGABYTE B650M AORUS Elite AX  is a great board and I have used a few of them actually!

Not had any problems with it and worked great.

You can probably find better priced mATX boards but this one is a very solid choice indeed.

Do you need a new board at all? Your current one will work just fine in the new case.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

Thank you, I am just a tiny bit skeptical about using gigabyte boards, BIOS updating on my last gigabyte board bricked it

Nothing to be worried about.  I have used over 50 Gigabyte AM5 boards so far and updated BIOS on all of them without issues.

The GIGABYTE B650M AORUS Elite AX has a Q-Flash options making BIOS update very quick and safe.

You just plug in CPU power and motherboard power from your PSU and put the USB stick in the USB port at the back with a BIOS text above it.

You press the Q-Flash button at the back near the USB ports and it will automatically start updating the BIOS, light will stop flashing when its done.

2-3 minutes roughly.

You don't need CPU, RAM or GPU installed for this to work.
