Budget (including currency): 90.000 TRY

Country: Turkey

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Nothing really competitive. Some Dota 2, World of Tanks, Factorio, sometimes R2D etc. Also some streaming, video decoding, light photoshop, AI image gen etc. So general purpose build with light focus on gaming.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

2K main monitor. 144 hz.

Hello,

I'm considering the following build:

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/kontinyu/saved/#view=w7BGxr

I'm going to wait for the release and reviews of the RTX 50 series, and depending on the pricing in my region either go with a 4070 super (or similar) or 5070 or something. For now, I'll just wait on the GPU. But since I'm gifting my current build away, I would really like to have a decent build going ASAP and just buy the GPU around March hopefully.

I have some spare noctua case fans, some ssds, m.2 and hard drives. I also already have the CPU cooler at hand from my previous build. Maybe I'll go with an DH15 in the future but for now it seems like my old cpu tower will manage the 7700x.

My main concerns/questions:

I'm still torn between 7700x vs 7800x3d. x3d is almost double in my country.

Would Asus Tuf be an alright choice? and could it hurt my chances with RTX 50 series (no pci 5 gpu)

Would there be any considerable difference between Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2x16) 6000 MHz CL30 CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30 vs ADATA XPG Lancer Blade RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory or G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory or should i go with whatever is the cheapest in my region? (XPG being cheapest by 10% followed by corsair and G.Skill is the most expensive one.)

Are there any general recommendations from you guys? Anything I should consider, or change?

Thanks!

it is not double the performance though

cheapest can work, does the website show subtimings?

Thank you for your reply and sorry about the part list. Updated here:

About the cpu performance, could there be anything special about rtx 50 series in which there will be very noticeable difference between x3d variant in games at a level where it would make the price difference acceptable?

I've checked the timings from different websites. They are listed as:

XPG: 40-40-40-76

Corsair: 36-36-36-76

GSKill: 30-38-38-96

Source for some: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/adata-xpg-lancer-rgb-ddr5-6000-c40-2x16gb-review#:~:text=The XPG Lancer RGB runs,DRAM voltage to 1.35V.

I've no idea if subtimings means something else though 🙂

7700/770x works

Good motherboard

Cooler is bit pricy, any Deepcool AG620 or Phantom Spirit or Peerless Assassin or ARCTIC 36?

First timing is CL, which is what should be primary choice, with good CPU, you want CL30 if possible, and 6000Mhz, that is the sweetspot for performance and reasonable price,

if you can find 30-36-36 for example, even better, but most importantly CL30, so 30-X-X-X,

not sure why we're getting 1000W PSU, you are getting Nvidia GPU, but not a 5090, you could easily run 5070 on like 850W even 750W if it's ATX 3.0

I like the NVME, check out 2TB NVMEs, usually they cost as much as 1TB*2

I already have the cooler at hand.

For the nvme and storage I've also already have some at hand, so the one on the list is extra for now.

1000W psu both for future proofing (a cpu upgrade down in the line maybe) and more importantly noise (since it won't be on full load so hopefully a bit more silent operation), and peace of mind with multiple accessories, fans, usb devices etc. Also avilablilty and pricing is a factor in my region too. For example we do not have 850w option of the same fsp series available here etc.

So lower is always better for cl30 subtimings or are there any other important spec/factor I should check for the ram?
