Upgrade gpu

Hello ltt community, i have a rx 7700xt and i want to upgrade.

Had problems with amd drivers despite the fact that i read good things about amd drivers.

Decolorization,lag spikes,frame drops and more were happening in games like pubg and dying light 2.

I'm gonna sell the card in a week or 2 so my question is simple, 4070-4070 super-5070.Im from greece so prices are..lets just say high so currently i can buy a 4070 for 600€ and a 4070 super for almost 700€.I don't know if the 5070 will launch in that price range and im not that big of a to know if my pcie exp 4 motherboard will bottleneck the 5070 with the pcie 5. Im lost and i need help

Your PCIE 4 motherboard will not bottleneck a 5070   A RTX 4090 is barely taking advantage of PCIE 4.

Its going to be a few more generations before we see pcie 4 being limited.

I plan on using an RTX 5090 with my own PCIE 4 motherboard.

 

We know that the RTX 5070 will release sometime in February.

I would wait.

If the price of the 4070/Super has risen significantly since the average in the last quarter of 2024, I would hold off the purchase until 5070 comes out.

 

5070 in your country should be around the pre-elevated price of the 4070 Super

 

Of course there is still the matter of availability. The designs from manufacturers should not be much different from the 4000 series. So judge from the past product stack and order the 5070 model of choice quickly before they get taken by scalpers
