About AIO's

so, recently ive gotten a offer from a friend for a pc and its about 4 years old, it has an AIO(Corsair ICUE H100i RGB PRO XT 240mm) and due to the age of the computer i wanted to know if the age would be a problem for the AIO, or if i need to do something to make its life longer, or if i cant

thats still a pretty new model? AIO i would only toss when its going to fail, and thats usually sudden, not per time estimate.

not by time? ive heard in a different topic where i looked for a AIO that would suit my pc that the model i had didnt have enough of something i dont remember that i believe prevented lime from forming?

I wouldn't pay for it, but if he offers it up for free sure. Might be some, or a lot of life left. It really depends on the environment it lived in, and what kinda juice is inside.

well its worth i for the entire pc, it used to be worth 3k

The fluid evaporates over time. Some are better, some worse. But unlike air coolers, you have added failure points in pump and fluid. And warranty is only for original buyer. For free, take it. But don't pay more for the PC due to AIO. 

 

Post the whole spec and price you are supposed to pay. Someone can tell you if it is a good deal or not. the AIO itself, is worth less than an old air cooler would be. Because the air cooler at least will work for sure.
