Hi,

my friend asked me for an advice about choosing proper PC for the ultrawide he wants to buy. He wants to buy 49" Philips 49M2C8900L/00 OLED and PC he picked up is some HP prebuilt Victus by HP TG02-2921nc. PC specs say it has NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 which should be able to handle the resolution of the widescreen, but I'm not sure about the ports. PC specs say it has VGA and HDMI 1.4b, which I'm not sure, whether I can handle the monitor resolution.

He wants to use it purely for productivity, no gaming. Will the PC be enough?

A RTX3050 should be able to handle that monitor on its DP1.4 or HDMI2.1 ports (not gaming btw). I think the HDMI 1.4b is referring to the integrated graphics which will not be able to run at full resolution.

Yeah, I thought gaming would be not be a thing, but as I said, that should not be an issue for him. I thought the RTX3050 should handle the resolution, I'm just little bit confused about the tech specs on the PC, they only mention VGA and HDMI.

You don't even need any dGPU for no gaming

If you want gaming a 3050 won't hold ultrawide high res
