So i had W10 on HDD and wanted to delete it and install new one on SSD. During installation i formatted HDD partition with my old W10, then installed new Windows on SSD. Formatting old W10 drive left some files on it like Boot folder, bootmgr. Now i can't format that partition. In Disk Management that partition is listed as System, Active, Primary Partition. My SSD with new Windows on it shows as Boot, Page File, Crash Dump. How to fix it? Does setting SSD as active partition in Disk Management help?

Windows' Disk Management is quite crappy in that regard. I generally recommend completely formatting a drive through GParted on a Live Linux USB, especially if the drive in question had an OS on it. Another way is to use a Windows installer USB, but I generally find GParted more usable. I don't recommend using third-party software, either.

Don't tell me to upgrade. I would've done so if I could.

Formatting it by force will not break my SSD WIndows?

if you installed windows with the HDD still connected then it most likely placed the bootloader on the hdd, even though you installed windows to ssd.

To test this, disconnect hdd. If you are able to boot to windows you are safe to format hdd gparted/install media.

if your ssd is not bootable you'll either need to
