I'm helping my buddy with his computer, and it won't boot, the PSU and GPU fans don't spin, but the CPU fan spins slightly. There's no video output and I have no idea what the problem could be. I've tried moving the ram around, and taking out and putting the CMOS battery back in, but the problem persists.

The specs are an Asus H81-plus, a Radeon XFS R7970, and XMF1 PSU, and an Intel CPU, but I don't remember which one. I'm stumped, so if anyone has any solutions they'd be greatly appreciated

XMF1 PSU

I have never heard of that brand, what wattage is it and how much did it cost?

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end, also I like to edit my posts a lot.

Did you leave any stand outs in the case that are blocked by the motherboard? Not common, but it can happen in one of the rows. This can cause a short and prevent the system from turning on at all.

Assuming your PSU is working properly.

I don't think so, it's the same case I had before and the same model motherboard as my last build, and it worked just fine

If it was a really cheap unit, I suspect it might have just failed on you.
