Specs : Ryzen 5 3600
             1660 super gpu
             1 hdd , 1 nvme ssd , 1 sata ssd
             B450 steel legend motherboard
So the problem starts here, one of my ram modules went bad a few days back and after removing one 8gb stick (g skill ripjaws 3200) the pc was back running without problems.
I ordered one more stick of the same kind  ie CL 16 18 18 38. I installed the ram in B2 slot to pair it with the existing module in A2. The pc wont post and kept cycling power, I tried removing the new module and the pc posts fine, I took the new module and installed it in A2 and it works just fine. Somehow i cannot run these two sticks together and any help is much appreciated. I also tried placing both the rams in A1,B1 combination but it wouldnt work, it seems no other slot than A2 is reading anything.
Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Ram mixing may cause problems, like in your case. Just because you order the same model, they're still different on the inside.
Sadly, you'll just have to buy a 2 pack of ram.

Hi Zenny,
Turns out It was just something with xmp settings which went haywire. I reset my bios and turned xmp off, installed another stick and turned it back on. Its working fine now.

Well, glad you figured it out before spending money on a whim. Glad to hear it.

Well, XMP is technically overclocking, not the most stable of things. Lol.
