Cloud cold storage?

I'm slowly running out of space on my NAS which I mainly use for Plex media and looking at options for cold storage.

 

I'm cosidering using a cloud storage service to store some of the older media I'm unlikely to watch, but would still like it visable in the library so I know that I have it.

 

Has anyone been able to set something like this up?

I believe this would be doable (depending on cloud host) with rclone.

 

Aside: would highly recommend setting it up to store files encrypted (can be set up in rclone) so that host can't DMCA you based on file hashes (sharing them or not). Files will still show normally on the client end (assuming correct password, etc.).
