First PC Build

Go to solution Solved by thebman,

I would go with this: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/Mrxp9C

I chose the 9600x as it is good now and AM5 will be more future proof. 4070 super is solid and the only thing it really compares to in the 30 series is the 3090, so if you can find one for a good deal, it should be similar. The 4070 super is solid though.

Peerless assassin because it is amazing

32gb of dddr5-6000 is very good for Ryzen

Fractal Pop air is recommended (I haven't built in in though)

Budget: $2000 AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly shooters like Helldivers

Other details: Aiming to hit 60+ FPS at 2560 x 1440 on games like Cyberpunk.
Already have 2 NVME drives so storage doesn't need to be factored outside of maybe a SATA drive for clips
No need for any peripherals as I'm upgrading from a Laptop that I use in the worlds most atrocious battle station
2 monitors
Fully willing to shop around on the Facebook marketplace for bargains, but need advice on what parts are worth shopping around for and what parts I should shill out cash for a first-hand component

Very much want to buy in on a future-proof motherboard so that I can continue upgrading parts for as long as possible without redoing the whole system

Thank you so much! That seems like an awesome setup!!!

Part picker say I may have to flash BIOS, done it before for friends but any tips on that would be highly appreciated

I'm going to offer an alternative, the 9600X and 9700X reviews show that its performance over Zen4 (Ryzen 7000) is marginal, so at this time, I'd steer back to the 7000 series.

Also managed to squeeze in a 7900XT which averages 118 fps in Cyberpunk compared to 97fps with the 4070S, so that would be the shot.

Added a 1TB Nvme M.2 as well.
