Hello all.

I have a Ryzen 5600G, and out of nowhere, it stopped recognizing my screen. The screen itself works in other devices, so the issue is with the PC.

I know that the PC works too because I can access it with TeamViewer (doing that right now to write this post). But the two of them don't want to work together.

The screen itself recognizes that there's a cable plugged in, but the video stream is not being sent to it.

This has happened in the past, and after removing Windows' latest updates it got fixed, but that isn't the case now, it does not want to come back.

Has anyone ever encountered this issue when using integrated graphics? In the past, I used intel integrated graphics for years and this never happened.

Do you have another screen to try it on? And while I'm at it, can I suggest using a different port (HDMI/DisplayPort) or swapping the cable?

Every processor can die without warning but it is extremely rare.

You should do troubleshooting to identify the source of your issue with certainty. The motherboard can be defective for example.

Try booting from a linux live stick or from Windows install media.

Try to reseat the CPU. Take time to check for any bent pins. Make sure the cooler is correctly installed.

Try reseating the RAM.

Try your CPU in another computer.

Good luck !

I do. Will check when I get home.

I don't think the issue is the CPU, like I said, it's working perfectly through TeamViewer, it just does not want to output to the monitor.

Since the pc works over TeamViewer its pretty safe to assume the apu is working fine. do you have another monitor you could test it on, or does the motherboard have another display output you could try?
My guess is either the port on the mobo isn't working properly, or possibly some driver issue or bios setting for the igpu. You can try resetting the bios settings first, you can do it physically, so no need for a screen and see if that helps
What motherboard do you have?

It is possible that only the iGPU part of the CPU is defective. That's why testing to identify the cause of the issue is important. It may be the motherboard, it may be the connector or even the video cable.
