So I just built a new computer. I bought some ram with my motherboard and have had no problems. I just purchased more of the same type of ram and now I'm blue screening and getting windows crashing.

Specs

* AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D

* MSI X670E tomahawk wifi

* G.Skill flare x5

Yes I'm running 4x16 gb for a total of 64

Well, there is your problem.

AM5 / Ryzen 7000 absolutely hate 4 sticks of memory and getting 4 sticks of DDR5 to work is very difficult, especially with EXPO / XMP enabled.

This is due to the limitation of the memory controller.

You might get lucky with XMP or EXPO turned off running at 4800Mhz.

This is why we have started to see 2x24GB or 2x48GB sticks so we can get higher capacity with 2 sticks.

You can try to update the BIOS of your motherboard as later revisions will have better RAM stability and compatability.

You are definitely not the first person to have this issue with 4 sticks on AM5, its extremely common unfortunately.
