Computer Freezing

Hello,

 

I build my PC several months ago and everything had run well. It’s an i5-12400 with a 7800xt and 16GB of DDR5 5600 RAM. I have two ssds, one for OS and core files and one for games I play. I play many types of games and use it for school. Recently the PC started to freeze up at random times, especially on Valorant. I would have to force restart. I’ve tried everything, driver updates, windows updates, chkdsk, memory checks etc. I’ve reset windows with a full wipe and now more games don’t work. Please help.

Have you tried the command "The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder."

You can also check if your SSDs's health is good with CrystalDiskInfo or a similar utility.

Unfortunately that did not fix the issue. Do you have any other suggestions?

I feel like an idiot. I had the HDMI cable plugged into the motherboard not the gpu. I’m gonna go cry now.

I did the same thing with my first build. Don’t beat yourself up over it. This is a happy ending, nothing was broken. Enjoy your rig at full power.
